Service Description

This service is a live, 30 minute, one to one online appointment, tailored to your needs in an environment comfortable for you. Each video call session is delivered by a fully trained, qualified and accredited laughter therapist and is conducted direct to you through your PC/MAC, mobile device or laptop, at a time to suit you. This initial assessment session allows us to understand you, your situation, your reasons for booking a laugh therapist and what you would like to achieve from the programme. This will help us understand your laughter triggers and humour preferences. You will receive a resource pack you can download with facts, activities, research and initial exercises to immediately begin increasing your daily laughter before your follow-up appointment even starts. After the initial consultation, a carefully structured, bespoke programme of Laugh Therapy classes will be created. Each (discounted) follow-up appointment will incorporate discussion, mindfulness exercises, meditation, talking therapy, challenges, yogic breathing activities, strategies for recognising your mindset, environment and behaviour patterns and exercises specifically designed to elicit mirthful laughter. You will also be set short, weekly (ho-ho-homework) tasks designed to invigorate and improve your wellbeing. Our aim is to assist you in reaching your personal goals set out in this consultation. Each subsequent appointment is geared towards you reaching those targets. These sessions are great value compared with other registered laughter therapists (in excess of £100 per hourly session). They are also ideal for those unable to attend group workshops or are more comfortable participating from their home environment.
